The world of plastics is very broad. Previously, plastics manufacturers competed against each other within the same industry. However, with improvements in the strength and durability of plastics, there was more focus on machinability and design and companies were forced to compete against other material industries.
In the field of lenses and medical devices, there were special types of products that traditionally could only be manufactured in glass. In recent years, however, with advances in materials and processing engineering, plastics processing technologies have caught up with those of glass, resulting in the present severe tug-of-war between glass and plastics manufacturers.
On the other hand, progress in exterior coating techniques has enabled plastics to have luster and strength comparable to metal products used in office automation products and electronics devices, and their application range is expanding dramatically.
Amid an expanding plastics industry, the range of products/services Yoshikawa Kasei offers has become diverse and now includes optoelectronics, primarily handling lens units and light guides, medical devices that must meet strict medical certification standards, and other businesses for supplying the most-advanced bio research and development devices, electromagnetic-proof information and telecommunication devices, durable office machine structural parts that can withstand frequent use, home electric products focused on design and functionality, and structural and residential materials such as range hoods to enhance the residential environment. Yoshikawa Kasei has a specialized technical development department for each of these businesses. |

Centered on the advanced plastic molding technologies it has accumulated for more than half a century, Yoshikawa Kasei is now expanding its business fields one after another. These divisions' development philosophy is "the FINEST," the superlative of the word "fine," which not also means "pleasant or beautiful" but also "precision or micro-technique."
They are a group of creative engineers who develop ideas with sensitivity and an eye toward the future. |

The Plastic Products Division initially developed distribution-packaging materials. It then created residential and structural materials and expanded its business to products beyond the framework of the plastics business delivering more safe and comfortable living environments.
As the source of Yoshikawa Kasei's original products, this division will continue to propose new products. |

The Technical Center was established to meet customer needs promptly and at lower cost.
It provides maximum customer satisfaction with its fine-tuned services, by accepting the total production process from conception, design, and development to mold making, trial production, and product evaluation. |
